Why Space Academy?
An intentionally held space is a rarity, and an art.
It invites us to disarm ourselves and open to growth.
Offering others the gift of our regulated nervous systems and an experience capacious enough to welcome the truth of themselves is a sacred gift and a frontier of possibility.

Teaching a spiritually rich movement practice or facilitating a transformational gathering is ultimately about learning to use your voice and your body as an instrument, navigating the dance of attuning to others while leading toward a destination, and bravely stepping into your power and raw, vulnerable authenticity, as an invitation for others to step into their own.
Who is Space Academy For?
Aspiring or practicing yoga, mat, or indoor cycling instructors, retreat leaders, or facilitators of any transformational gathering are welcome.
Space Academy will explore the elements of creating a transformational movement mat practice, as a foundation and model for designing any other container, such as a retreat, or a course. Through the lens of teaching a spiritually activating mat practice balancing power and tenderness, we will discover how to make any gathering a sacred space for soul work.
The additional Indoor Cycling Intensive builds on our foundational principles of holding space and applies them to teaching a euphoric and empowering cycling class that is as much a workout as a work-in, leading participants through a cathartic journey that connects us to our hearts and each other.

Dates & Details:
Upon registration, you will book your first 1:1 mentorship session via Zoom with Nicole, and immediately receive access to the Spirited Leadership course
Your second 1:1 session will be before November 15 via Zoom, or in-person at the Space Camp retreat
The times for our group Live sessions are proposed; if you are unable to make any of these times, the group will find a time that works for everyone.

Space Academy unfolds entirely online — and for those called to go further, Space Camp awaits: three days with me in Boulder to practice teaching in the room, refine your presence and voice, build community, receive live constructive feedback, and cross the threshold into leadership.
ALTER Indoor Cycling
Instructor Training Certification
Learn to awaken the euphoric energy unique to an indoor cycling class: how you can create an alternate universe with a dark room, immersive music, rhythmic movement, and your most powerful tool: your voice.
We will explore many approaches to designing a ride, and how to merge athletic training goals with sonic landscape, community connection, and a spiritual journey.
Building upon the foundation of space holding you will learn in Space Academy, this additional elective intensive is a complete certification, preparing you to teach, and includes personalized feedback on your teaching.

No. This program will prepare you to begin to teach or lead physically and spiritually transformational classes or containers, or if you are already leading, to enrich your ability to hold the vulnerability, truth, and range of yourself and your students.

You will learn the practical and spiritual architecture to design any somatic movement practice class—yoga, pilates, rhythmic movement, strength training, fusion—or a transformational container such as a retreat or workshop to create an environment that is safe for vulnerable inquiry, expression, and community-building connection. We will draw on many movement modalities in exploring somatic processing. You will discover and design a practice first for yourself, that brings you into your heart and your body, and then design a practice authentic to the ways you love to move and lead movement that serves others in building physical strength and spiritual growth.
If you desire to teach ALTER mat practice, cycling, or meditations, this training is the foundation, after which you are most welcome to audition and explore with Nicole a personalized path to teaching in the context you envision.

No; it is the training in holding a space, attending to the subtle bodies of students, designing the energetic arc of a class or experience, and facilitating an inclusive, ecumenical spiritual activation that many 200-hour teacher trainings lack. If you are seeking a 200-hour yoga teacher training in addition to this, email Nicole for recommendations of her vetted, fully online (or hybrid in person) and cost efficient (starting under $500) Yoga Alliance certified 200-hour trainings, if the place you want to teach requires that.

The work of collaborating with Spirit in holding space for others to grow into their fullness has been the greatest joy of my life, and I am honored to take this journey with you to develop your own unique form.
I weave experience from over 15 years of studying and leading somatic movement practices, masters degrees in pastoral care, many traditions of yoga and meditation, and 10 years of 1:1 personal mentorship work into our study together—a studio of creating the safety and risk in which our people transform.
